T H E  V O Y E U R

"The Voyeur" is a work exploring the idea of the invasion of privacy. Portrayed through a sole, unsettling eye on the corner of a pillow (an item that is fairly "intimate" to the owner, as they sleep on it), the work makes viewers feel uncomfortable as they feel the gaze directed onto them. This is meant to reflect on how women have every aspect of their lives scrutinsed: their body, their minds, their beings, whilst simultaneously touching upon the issue of voyeurism and the lack of private space in today's society.
